Since then, it has grown to include such attractions as snow and ice sculptures, the World Championship Sled Dog Race, competitive snowball fights, and the “Running of the Reindeer.”

Alaska’s foremost dogsled race, the Iditarod is an 1,150 mile sled dog race from Anchorage to Nome. The race begins in early March with a ceremonial start in downtown Anchorage. The official start happens in Willow a few days later. At Inlet View Bed and Breakfast, we are only a half-hour drive from either event!
